It was only a small section that went red, and melted, like a short almost. It was a break in the middle that was effected, not the entire length of the wire.

Before you "waste" to much time, I'd suggest you create 1 tee and order it. I doubt you will be happy with the quality. I know I wasn't. The tees are just iron on. Same thing you can get ...
