Very cool! I've thought of building my own kick panels with speaker pods for my 48 Ford pickup too but i never thought about vacuum forming them. This might have to go on my to do list.

got some more pieces mocked up. and did an oops. forgot to calculate for shrinkage &$%^&$ now to up-size the molds. AHHHH well.

looking at the plunbing diagram... Youre missing a check valve between the vac pump and the other stuff. You WILL pull the oil out of the pump without it...

got a little more done on the 2x2 setup aluminum is done and plumbed. I then discovered one of my parts won't fit (duh should have measured)
so now I'm setting up the 2x4 platen and have it plumbed ... |

ABS can be welded. Sorta like this:
you can glue the ABS if your careful I use WELDON #16 glue for acrylic.
nasty smelling stuff and if you use to big a glob it'll deform the abs in that ... |
