Certainly more care would need to go into wiring to prevent the oven from being conductive but it seems both space and heat distribution would be more efficient with an all metal oven.

I think the rule is add as much as your depth, so 17" x 10" seems about right?

this is an odd size for a frame though, so if you are going to do a lot of plastic buying you might consider ...

get a multi meter and read the resistance of your coils . You can calculate the amp draw :

amps=volts/resistance


a 15 amp breaker can run:
R=120/15= 8 ohms maximum

Use the HardiBaker Last thing you need is a fire or even a circuit to trip.


Hardibacker works, but I don't think its the best way to go.

you can do an all metal oven. But I would advise not touching it, and making sure it's grounded properly. hardibacker provides grounding and heat insulation, but it can be fragile over time.

2 discrete circuits , each 1200 watts, each going to a separate 15 amp breaker for a 24x24 machine
