The downsides are that
2. you can't cast resins in it. (But it works very well for plaster or water putty or gypsum cements like Hydrocal or Ultracal.)

What type of repair? Small cracks can be fixed using 70/30 Acryl 60 / water and (what ever the plaster is) by brushing the area with the liquid to get moisture back in the mold. Then dip a small paint ... |
