I agree the rust issue....or better put the oxidation issue via humidity which is invariably part of many areas in the US, is a serious concern for an otherwise thinner tank.

As for the Craigstlist ...

So why not just use a super powerful pump in the first place? And, doesnt heat of the plastic affect, to a large extent, the ease of which its pulled into detailed areas? ...

alright thanks.. I simply cannot locate a water heater anywhere in the DC area. Craigslist, Freecycle etc. bubkiss

I may just go with propane.
