I don't think you understood what I suggested.
The reason his part "works" is because he is accepting a huge variation in sheet thickness inside the part.
Ditch the platen and make a dedic ... |

TIRE WET....
Low buck at most auto stores. reasonably thick and never leaves markoff on clear parts. PETG and Lexan safe. |

Howdy.... I use 1 inch pvc plumbing connections and clear tubing that is asnug fit over it. That way ball valves and t's and stuff is simple to rearrange.

hang it in steel t's for for drop cielings. grill lholes in it with a masonry drill and it works slick. reflects heat well, doesnt crack and wonr burn... this is pretty w ... |
