Have you thought about making plaster copies of the epoxy foam? That way you keep your "good" orginal, and if you bust a mold, it was only the plaster one.
Just some ideas. |

Something I learned about ovens, if you have uneven heat you can add mass, like a pizza stone, tiles, or a few bricks. Just make sure there it is not glazed and lead free.
