hasn't been a problem yet for my wooden frame. I don't do TONS of pulling but we've done a decent amount with this one frame.
I just pulled a test pull of a new mold tonight, and it worked just fine. |

Well I haven't been around here in quite a while but I dug up this old post.
Using my old ghetto rig with the wooden frames, I pulled approximately 1700-2000 pieces. I have since given all of my equipment away and quit making the items I was making but my customers just can't accept that so I guess I am going back in the business. I am building another oven now and I decided to check back in and have a refresher course. This new oven will be simple also but at least maybe a little better looking than the other one. I just hope it works as good. That one that I threw together back then worked extremely well. |

Hey, great that you're back around and have items that people want to buy!
Don't know your vac former size or oven plans but I'm a big fan of the ProtoForm modular design for medium to large ovens. It gets away from the one big sheet so it's not prone to cracking. I've built both a modular overhead oven and bottom oven.

Yeah I've read that about 10 times in the last week. Awesome job. Actually it is an amazing job. What I build is small so my oven is only 16x24. The last one I built used an element out of a stove and it worked awesome. Great pulls every time. This oven I'm building now is more in line with yours. |
