Anyone has a good idea as how to make a blow mold machine?
The parts would be RC plane fuselage and wings... about 24" max long and about 6" wide.
Think of an ordinary water bottle.... it's about that thickness the plastic material and the same kind of plastic what I would use.
I know how a blow molding is done commercially, but am interested to build one as an experiment and see if it's pracical for home base unit. |

Instead of blow molding... look at TWIN SHEET FORMING..
Its a derivative that doesnt require a pariason or pariason mold prior to loading the shape mold...

I looked into this twin-sheet forming and not sure if they can do paper thin plastic.... as in plastic bottles. Most of the stuff is very thick materials.
Anyone know a DIY machine that does this?
Looks like it's a complicated and expensive process to setup for short runs.
I may have to find another way to join two halves that will have 2-4PSI pressure inside, as a finished product. |
