A few pictures of the vac-form machine finished.
It was a good plan that I followed to build it... purchased from Doug.
It was a lot of work but everything works just fine.

Not sure if I ever want to build another one. Don't have the time for it.
Actually, I almost bought a ready made one for $1,600 but changed my mind when I saw Doug's plan. It is very well thought out to the last details and loads of info in the manual. It was worth to money to get this plan and also bought the heather kit with it. Hey, thanks Doug!

I also bought a 9CF vacuum pump from Harbor Freight. It was about $300.00 but worth every penny and not have to fool with tanks and vacuum cleaner gizmos. The pump can pull 28 but the realistic number is 24 because there are some leaks, no matter how well it is constructed.
As Doug pointed out in the manual.... all wood will leak and loss of vacuum as a result.

Somehow I missed this post earlier. Regardless, nice work on your new vac former. What types of projects are you doing with it?
