Just finished my Proto-Form build.
Over 250 images

Thanks Doug! Couldn't have done it with out your plans.
I have done up a few youtube vids of the machine in action.

The two stage vacuum really sucks it down. I had pry the plastic off the molds. And the inside had wood grain detail. Now that's a vacuum.

I'm now finishing the platens for the 2x3 and 2x4, have added work lights and an exhaust filter for the pump. I'll post those images soon.

Hey, welcome to the forum and great work! Maybe you could start a "new topic" and post up some of the experiences you had with your build. I'm intrigued by the wooden lift arms on your machine!

Everybody, Just click on the above link, it lays it out in detail.
With the plans and this link, the proto-form should be an easy build....Fredo

Great to see the build threads like this.

I built a new shed last summer, and am looking to move the vac table out there.
I really want to move to an over/under design when I do that.

Hey TD1035, are there any updates to how your vac former is working out?

This build thread needs bumped. The first part by really does a great job of showing the ProtoForm being built, especially the modular oven design.
