Hi guys,
Nice to meet you all.
I have been reading undercover for quite some time and finally I decided I might have enough info to try n build a vacuum forming machine.
I will appreciate every suggestion you may have, especially having in mind that I am a total newbie.
The project is a serious size one.
I am looking towards forming sheets with sizes 3 x 7 feet.
The Imperial measures are also an obstacle so in order to be precise - the sheets will be 2x1 meter or 200x100 cm
The table will be a vertical one with plastic holding frame going up n down using counterweight (numatics are not that easy to find around here but I may still look for some)
Any help will be appreciates and I will try to keep u posted with photos
best

Hi and welcome.
Sounds like an interesting build.
That is a large machine for sure, but depending on the plastic (type and how thick) is certainly doable....as long as you have enough power to get the BTU's that you need?
Pneumatic's aren't really important, unless you are looking at a lot of parts. They will help speed up the process ...but you can accomplish a build without them.
Best of luck

Welcome to the board. Standard sheet sizes in your country will make your project more cost affordable.
for unit conversions try: http://www.convertunits.com/from/feet/to/cm
Good luck!
