I am looking for a sewing machine capable of sewing 1mm petg plastic that has been vacuformed. I am looking to make costume armour and tactical style gloves. Anyone have experience with this? Any specific brand or model you recommend? I know it would have to be a heavy duty machine, but the manufactures don't exactly say thier machines are capable of this. Also any tricks or tips on sewing thru plastic like this. Thanks in advance.
Edit I originally thought it was 3mm but it's 1mm or slightly less

Wow, that would have to be an industrial strength sewing machine with a walloping punch!

Have you tried poking a needle through 3mm PETG?

The plastic would crack and break from the series of holes being punched through it. Try testing with a hammer and nail making holes every 1/8" and see if the plastic survives.

You would need to drill tiny holes first, spaced about 1/4" apart, then follow up with hand sewing to get the fabric sewn to the plastic.
