Hey gang. I just thought I'd show everyone my X-Wing helmet I'm working on. It was heavily inspired by helmets worn by Vietnam-era chopper pilots.

Hey thanks. I assembled it from a kit I got from Jim, here on the board. |

Hey Clint!
Nice job! I have the visor mold done, and have pulled one test copy. I plan to dye it this weekend, and then test fit it. So it looks like we are on our way.
The molds are part of a trade I did with an RPF board member, with the intention of doing a handful of these for the fan film, only.
Right now we are experimenting with different unique painting schemes.
Jim

Clint,
Awesome job! I really like your helmet design. And your storyboard drawings of the rebels are great. Jim told me about the graphic novel your working on. I would love to see some of your drawings for that.

Nice work on the helmet!
Question for you Jim... Are your molds similar to a TIE helmet setup? Left hemisphere, right hemisphere, then joined at the center?
Since Clint did such a great job finishing the helmet, it's very hard for me to tell how it goes together!

Hey thanks, guys.
TKThor, sure I'd be happy to show you some pages. I'll send you an email with a few of them. |

The shells are based off of pattern I got in trade from a member of another board. The originals had very soft detailing, so quite a bit or rework has been done to them. Clint did a great job figuring out how to assemble them. So far he and I have the only ones built.
Yes, these are 2 hemispheres, with a strip down the mohawk.
