I am currently working on a film that would require at least 4 suits of armor and I am wondering if there was a way to make a decent looking armor for not a whole lot of money because I have a very limited budget

That many sets of armor, your cheapest option would be to try and make it yourself. Otherwise, you are looking at $2400 for the armor, then the cost of the under suits and boots. Then blasters. Easily $3000 before you know it. You can make a vacuum table for less than $200, and the molds, though time consuming, can be made for $100 or less.

[EDIT: PM me for details] incase you are interested but you will have to give me some time to make them. It will take me some time to finish my molds.

Go to http://www.clonetroopers.net/ and look in the EU threads where the RC's are. There are some BEAUTIFUL projects going on right now! I have a DC-17m made by a guy named "Talon", that I swapped an E-11 for... very stunning stuff there.

That's a pretty nice weapon, but looks a tad too "terrestial" unless you do something with the magazine and add some more greeblies to it. May I suggest that since you are doing a "Star Wars" genre of film that you use something in that venue and could EASILY be built like the following....

THESE babies are on my "to do" list!! Most of it could be cut out of a 2x6 board, then some smaller 1x2 boards, PVC pipe and fittings, a cheapo scope and a $20 laser! Hope that helps. Very Happy

If I could I would possibly try to build a weapon design for the commandos since it going to be during the period of the galatic civil war with armor inspired by the old republic Clone Wars era I just dont have and idea of what parts to use and what kind of materials to use
