Well, Tony helped me out with last week's tip, so this week I wanted to talk about improvised field repairs for stormtroopers.

I once used a 3 liter 7-up bottle for the green trooper lenses, an it actually works fine. PETG is the type of plastic those bottle are made of, and if the bottle is large enough, like a 3 liter instead of a regular 2 liter, well, you are good to go. It might not be dark enough but will do in a pinch.

You can make brow trim from window unit AC insulation.

3/16 fuel line makes a decent neck trim, and was rumored to be used on the original helmets.

Biceps can be replaced using styrofoam cups as an emergency measure. And if you are desperate, you can cut a gas station plastic cup and farb up hand armor in a pinch.

Clear or white 'sports' tape works great for repairs.

One of these days, with some help from some of my online buddies, I think it would be fun to put together a 'Improvised Field Repair Guide'.

Ammo pouches are great hiding places for keys, and amps, and your bill fold.

Sewing your E-11 holster's bottom shut, makes a handy pocket, as the blaster is rarely in there.

Keep a zip-loc bag full of glue, velcro, elastic, clothes pins, snaps, z-acto knife, a spare set of gloves... what else? If you have any trooping repair/survival tips, please list them here.

You pretty much mentioned everything, BUT you did forget:

9-volt batteries
Paper clips
chewing gum
small bit of tin foil
spary adhesive
rubber bands
thumb tacks
some grains of sand

Oh wait a minute, that's McGuyver's list to make an improvised Tac-Nuke... NEVER MIND!! Wink
