Well, sorry about the poor heath I was experiencing on Saturday's shoot. I'm starting to think it was food poisoning and not a stomach bug. Lucky y'all! I'd like to thank Herb, Heath, Larry and Lance for making the effort to get out there on a really hot and humid day, and shoot some film!

Randy is busy transferring the footage to hard drive for Herb and I to take a stab at editing. To be honest I'm really excited to see what the Fleet Troopers look like on film. I hope everyone had fun, and barring any unforeseen illnesses I'll be back in action for the next film day.

Herb, if you need to shoot some pick-up shots, let us know!

Our next challenge will be to get the track and dolly built, suits weathered, and scenes from the script ready for filming. I now have all the material I need for the dolly, and I'll be working on the dolly over the next few weeks. We need to decided on the September shooting day, and get that on everyones calendar. Also, if we can get one more Fleet Trooper costume ready, that will give us 3 to play with! Honestly, we need about 500 but thats another story. I'm thinking towards the end of Sept. and I hope the hot weather will be past us by then.

Heath, I have a RFT belt buckle if you need it. All you need to find is a 2 inch natural leather belt.

Larry, Hows, the matte paintings? Are we ready to shoot that 'cliff' sequence?

I'm putting a cut off date for the script ideas for on Sept. 10. So if you have any ideas you want to see in the final draft, let me know. I'd expect to have one final test shoot, for the track and dolly, and then we are ready for the real deal.

We are still a few blasters short, so if anyone wants to come over and help me build a blaster for Herb, Coy, and the Stunt suits, let me know. Labor Day is this weekend, and if the weather is not too bad, I'll be out in the tool shed making stuff. Come on by!

I know we have a lot going on, and its hard to get together on a regular basis, but I think is helpful that we have a film day at least once a month. We will soon be working against the clock, as the end of October, the days will get shorter, and the leaves will start to fall off the trees. That means that Nov. is marginal, and Dec. is going to be out, Jan. out, Feb, is marginal and March we'll start to see the leaves return. Oh, my how time flies.

Coy, any news on the diagona? Do we need another production head for that prop/monster? Or should we scrap that idea from the script?

Well, thats about it from here. We still need to do some more tests on the fireballs, and blood spurts, so Lance, when ever you are ready to make a mess, let me know!
