the left knee plate!

currently, my plate is a sniper knee diamond, but i'm not too sure if it's the correct size. here is my dementions:
9 cm bottom point to the lower right diamond-corner
5.5 cm from the right diamond-corner to the right top corner
2.5 cm from the right top corner to the left top corner
5.5 cm back down to the lower left corner
9 cm back down to the bottom point
the top layer of styrene is the piece with the diamond hole cut in the center. the outer edge is 1 cm wide. i used scrap 0.060 inch styrene for each piece.
the measurement from the VERY bottom point to the bottom of the main shape is about 2.7 cm long.
i hope you can see what i'm saying, if not, here's a pic:

oops!
i accidenly hit the submit button rather that the preview button, and therefore didn't know that the pic was a bad one for my knee diamond!
Embarassed
would it be easier to just make a stormtrooper knee plate rather than a sandtrooper knee diamond? if so, how? i mean, i've tried already to make a stormtrooper knee plate, pulled it, and simply could NOT release it.
i had the mold pre-curved to my calve's dimentions. i threw the mold and the pull away in disappointment, so i don't have a pic...
did you make a mold? if so, how did you do it? pic?
