Hi my name is chef
I currently have a vac-form table that is an overhead configuration.
i am a chef! but im a bit on the larger side being 6 foot six.
I have been working on molds/plugs for a larger stormtrooper as none would fit me.
I was born with one hand ,but that has never held me back or got in the way of doing different things
So far i have 98 percent finished the chest mold
68 percent the top part of a lower arm piece
One handplate 99 percent finished.

So far ive had a few dissasters with the hips sticking to and ruining a mold.

I live near birmingham in the uk
Im a bit passionate about all things star wars especially stormtroopers(anh)

Cheers

What were the molds made of?

Welcome to the board.

cheers for the welcome
The chestmold was/is made from mdf/airdryclay and car bodyfiller....

the last image is acomparison with an fx piece to show the size difference.
I will be making first a female cast using gelflex and plaster then into that im going to put plaster to make a male mold to vac form off.

The problem occored because the heat caused the bodyfiller to blister away from the airdry clay.
The next mold is just made from clay, from which i will make molds again using gelflex and palster.

cheers
