Cool!
Thanks Tony!
Merry Christmas! I was hoping to have this ready to go and be a surprise gift, but I just could not make all these parts, get them in working production molds and cast in time.
Ho, Ho, Ho. LOL.

I've had a minor setback. The stock greebly mold tore when I demolded the master pattern, and I was able to patch that. When I demolded the first casting it tore again. I patched the silicone mold a second time, and again, it tore when I demolded the second casting. So, I made a new mold, only to have it tear apart beyond repair on the demold of the master pattern. DRATS!
So, I've started working on a new mold, with a redesigned master pattern. I have high hopes this will work finally, and I can get the kit made.
Oh, well. Onwards, and upwards.

Well, part of the issue was the way the pattern was made. I tried something new, and it did not work out well. The stock greebly is the part that was giving me so much fits. I wanted something that wrapped around and was bolted into place. My pattern did this but was too complicated for a 1 or 2 part mold. Add to that I was using some OoMoo 25, not the best silicone mold material around in my humble opinion. The stuff is good for a few pours but is not as good as platinum cured silicone. But, I finally got some molds that look like they will work. I re did the patterns, and made a proper 2 part mold. I feel much more confident this will work, or at least stands a better chance of working. LOL.

LOL... it always seems to come back to keeping your designs as simple as possible, and using the best materials you can lay hands on, doesn't it? If I only had a dollar for everytime something "blew up" on me like that!! LOL
Looking forward to seeing this kit come to light!! _________________ Tony Krewson

Well, I got some good feedback on the blaster, and only need to modify the buttstock, plate, and I should be ready for a run of these.
Tony, sorry about the delay, but I did finally get a set of molds working, and I promise to get those parts out this week. Maybe even a surprise!
PM me your mailing address, just so I have the right one.

Looks like I forgot some goodies for the Endor blaster in you last CARE box. LOL. I'll get them to you in the next shipment.

The suppliers for the airsoft base gun, keep telling me they are sold out. So, I got on the net and did some searching. Here is what I found out. Well's makes all sorts of the same gun. LOL. The MR711, MR722, the m16a4 ,mr744, and a host of others. You can get them wholesale for around 8-12 dollars per gun. Since I needed 5 more to complete an order, here is where I got them from:
http://www.vistawholesale.com/M16_Airsoft_Rifle_p/mr722.htm
Slightly different than the others I was using, these, I hope, should work out fine. I'll let everyone know. The only other supplier was:
http://www.pointact.com/prod_MR711_227_12.html
but they were sold out, and required a $100 minimum order!
