Title says it all
Anyway:
I've been browsing TK560.com for a while now. At first I didn't know it had a forum, because the link was so small!
But, anyway, I'm getting into this because I randomly googled "wearable master chief suit" a while back and found this.
Although I won't be building a Master Chief suit, since Halo is not really in my favorites list, although it is a cool game.
No, I will be building some from a series that was probably my first serious PC game...stay tuned!
I thought "How cool would it be to wear this in an airsoft game???"
So that was, and is, my main goal: To make an armor suit for airsofting. :p
On top of that, well, I'll just say I'm planning to include various, electronics in it as well.
Anything beyond will remain classified for now.
My main problem is that I have ZERO experience with this stuff; so I'm wondering if maybe I should take a woodworking class or a basic electronics class, or both (probably both). :p
I also have some very cool ideas (at least IMO) to build custom RC airplanes (and not just your normal F18 or zaggy or helicopter, nah, not me) :p
Here's hoping I can start posting my progress soon, and hopefully have something to show by the summer, unless I'm tied up somehow...
Thanks,
LC |

hello!
well, those classes would help. i didn't take either, but i'm into this stormtrooper thing. it's pretty basic stuff, IMHO. anything you need help with, just ask around, you'll find the way.
welcome!

Welcome to the board! Sounds like you have some great projects underway.
Good luck!

Thanks!
EDIT: Well, to be perfectly honest, they're not going anywhere fast right now, since I have none of the tools I need.
And then after that I'll probably need to get a job since building the tools will likely take all my Christmas money! |
