Hi there, I'm from QUEBEC, Canada and I speak french but will try to write English correctly so everyone will understand me Smile
I'm Probably the only one here: the mean reason why I want to do vaccum forming is to make some Gauges pod for the automotive market.
I'm a car enthusiast!
The parts will be made from ABS. I tried few pull already without BIG success. I used a household oven for heating (especially dedicated for this) but don't seems to be very efficient yet. I need to build my own oven soon...
I'll keep you all updated!
Wink

Hello and welcome,
there are lots of resources around here to help with those pulls. Your written English is good, quite honestly...its better than some people I know that speak English Laughing

CJ

p.s. what kind of vac table are you using? got any photos? You would be amazed at the feedback that you can get about a bad pull with just 1 pic...ok maybe a couple of pics.

Welcome to the boards, and don't worry about the accent or spelling....I am PUERTORICAN, and I'm still learning some spelling around. Very Happy

The best way to learn is from YOUR OWN MISTAKES and correcting them.

General HINT for what you want in this forum: Use the SEARCH button, it could help a lot and save a lot of time...believe me. Wink

Good day, eh! From what I understand there is at least one other Canadian around these parts and someone else who is here because they also are a car enthusiast! There is a large cross section of people with various reasons of why they want a machine. Welcome and good luck with your machine.

Welcome to the board!

Lots of different projects going on here, not just Star Wars costumes. There's a guy making after market parts for Macs, remote control car body makers, a guy making automotive tail light assemblies, some sign makers, and lots of Imperial Armor makers.

Take some pics of your project when you get a chance. And if you have any questions, just ask!

Jim
