Can we call you Top Jimmy?
Some friends of mine, just the other night,
Went to see this cool cat pull.
The say his platen's so good that the roof fell in,
And he didn't even stop the flow.
They don't remember the place, but they remember the face,
And now everybody wanna go.
Chorus:
Top Jimmy cooks, top Jimmy swings.
Hes got the molds. Top Jimmy, hes the king.
- Oh that's just silly! -
I saw Van Halen in Philadelphia at the start of their reunion tour. Wow, they put on a hell of a show, and of course, the folks in Philly are just crazy!
Their Baltimore date was postponed a couple of times, and although it was the same songs, the energy just didn't seem to be there. But the tour was winding down, and Eddie was recovering from his "medical issues" and the enthusiasm from the Baltimore/DC crowd just can't compete with the city of Brotherly Love.
David Lee Roth claimed they were going in the studio after the tour was done, but I just don't see them sticking together for it.
Nice work on your keyboard playing Alex. It's nice to see the younger generation playing the "classics"

You'd probably need TWO keyboards to perform that song, since there are two different sounds from that music: the one you've being playing as in JUMP, and a deep "bubbly" sound, like a "BOING" at the end of every "section" as I call it (I'm not a musician), but that's what it sounds like.
Just my opinion. _________________ Robert

i actually have the ability to split the voices. one "bubbly" and the other as JUMP.
it's a pretty cool song, if i can get it down. _________________ -Alex

Van Halen was my all-time favorite 80's band too! The first concert I ever went to was Van Halen, I think I was around 13 or so... I went with my cousins. I used to draw their "VH" logo (with the "wings") on all of my binders, notebooks, etc. I also had 3-4 different concert t-shirts of theirs as well... Funny thing is, I used to listen to all the "hair bands" so much "back in the day" (the 80's and early 90's) that I can't hardly stomach listening to any "glam-band" music anymore... they ruined it with...
