OK,I am having another go at vacuum forming polypropylene and wondered if anyone here has used this type of plastic?

It is very different from HIPS that I am used to and doesn't really sag the same.It kinda just wrinkles up then gets a soft spot. This is when I form it and it forms really well except for the thin spots!

I think it is down to my heating that is causing problems with thin spots but want to hear any of your experiences using PP.

Cheers,

Paul.

Polypropolene if I recall correctly, is that stuff coffee can lids are made from. I've usually seen this stuff injection molded.

Here in the States we have a product called Plastic-weld. Other than thermo-fusion, or a solvent based adhesive like PVC glue, I don't know an other option.

I'm looking for a solven based vinyl glue to patch up broken GIjOE [ActionMan] action figures from the 1960s/70's. Everything I have found have not wored well either.
