LOL, thats all the prodding I needed. I'm looking at finding a bolt carrier group for a 6.8SPC next, then finish it off with a barrel. Thats going to be the hardest and most expensive part.
BTW... I got myself an L3 EoTech 512 as the HWS for that M4gery. When I slow down, I'll snap some pics. But this thing is pretty darn cool.
Pics soon.

FINALLY!!!! My Del-Ton M4 upper arrived today!!! Woo Hoo!!
Here is were I'm at so far... I'm taking my time deciding on a rear flip-up sight... still staking out what's available, and looking up reviews and such! I'm going to put an Eotech on mine as well, but I'm a LOOOONG way from being able to afford it ATM!!

WHOA! Thats nice! I almost fainted when you said that upper came in. It sure looks nice!
Yes, deciding on optics took me a long time too. Trying to decide between magnified or not, was a hard one for me, and in the end, I'm glad I stuck with a HWS; something I can add magnification to down the road if I want to.
One thing to consider, as I'm sure you already know, is co-witnessing your iron sights with your HWS. I wanted one that could do this, and the 'red dot' be in the same place as the BUIS sight picture. There are basically two schools of thought on this. One, as I stated above, and the other is off-set to the bottom 1/3rd of the HWS sight picture.
Troy makes some nice military sights, but I went cheap, with Yankee Hill, to get me an A2 sight 'picture' and adjustments. It's not all that low profile, and thats an error I made. Lower profile makes it easier to operate the controls on the Eotech.
Just some things to think about... It's tough with so many options.
Congrats on a dandy looking carbine, I know you are eager to take it to the range!

Jim, I hear you on the co-whitness thing, and the profile and accessing the Eotech controls... I'll most likely get a model with the contols on the left side so I can use magnifiers (some day).
On eBay, I score a set of brand new AUTHENTIC Magpul (MBUS) Buis for $70 (shipped) after I used the $25 credit built up on my eBay credit card. The vendor was terrific, supplied a tracking number, fast shipping, etc!!
Well, here are some more photos of my M4gery in various poses, never mind the spots on it, its from CLP... LOL!

Awesome! Man, that looks great. I really need to get a tail now!
I saw some KAC rails on ebay, for less than $190, so, some day I'll add that.
I know what you are saying about the controls on the side. Wish the 512s did. Oh, well. I'm still happy, and figure by the time I can spring for magnified optics, I might go with a Trijicon, or some such thing, OR up grade my Eotech to a model that has side controls.
Fun, fun stuff. I really like that winter trigger guard too!
Well done Tony!
