I need to know which is a good substitute (cheap) for a clear plastic to vacuuform for a faceshield. Think about one for a HOCKEY HELMET, but not necessary, since it will be mostly for a costume project, I will post the details later on.

Any info will be really appreciated.

0.040 PETG has worked for this guy in the past, it vac formed rather easily. He said it cuts nice but isn't as stiff as Lexan or acrylic but suited his purpose well which was costuming helmet visor.

Check out the first two pages on this thread, you'll have to scroll down but you'll see what you're looking for, page 2 tab on bottom left, pictures too!

PETG gets my vote too. About as easy to form as ABS but the cool down cycle is longer. Less prone to cracking than Acrylic.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, since it's basically for costuming. I will let you know later on the COSTUMING section what I'm talking about. Wink Twisted Evil
