My god, I actually have a troopable suit ALMOST DONE???? Hell must have frozen over, I mean, it's ME we're talking about.:b

Anyways...it's almost done! Going to get it done in time for a clone wars premier troop next weekend! All that's left is the belt and boots, both of which should be here by this weekend or early next week. Fortunatly, a semi-local RL member, came by to help us (group costume project) by sewing everything for us..since we dont know how to sew...very well rofl

So this is the first time Ive had all of the soft pieces on at the same time. Ignore my facial expression lol

Moded Hasbro, still shoots darts!

TK560 Helmet

The only sewing that was left, was to add snaps so I can secure the "bib,"
which I dropped off at an alterations place earlier today (should be done actuallly!)

Did they have the antenna? I am not sure if they have them, but a similar-based helmet (Imperial Gunner "Beetle Helmet") I know for a fact that has and antenna. I like the BAD GUYS BETTER....(from "SPACEBALLS") "....because GOOD is DUMB!" Very Happy

In short, I was a Military AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER until 4 months ago for medial reasons. (I'm sort of a smart-guy/really patient guy)

PM sent. Smile

Well done! Thanks for sharing the pics! How did you attach the comm box to the helmet shell. I don't see the long screw used. Oh, and the antennae looks great. What did you use?

Oh man, I probably re-painted this helmet like 4 times since the pictures. The com-box was attached using the same method that the gunner helmets do; wood block glued inside, with the antennae as well. The antennae is just a metal wire shirt hanger. Thanks

So today was very productive. Got the belt finished completly. Got a final word, and a midnight troop is on for tomorrow, so it is imparitive that it's finished by tomorrow. Fortunatly, the last thing is the boots, which *were* supposed to be delievered today, but wont be until tomorrow. The only thing im :eek about, is wether or not it will fit my clown feet.

The other members in the group project had made a group order of holster's from Nightcraft, but due to certain circumstances, I was not able to be on that order, but one 501st member who's trooping as a TK is letting me borrow his for this weekend's troop.

Got the boots in today, and they fit!! Just a little tight on the sides, but wearable. Im not too worried, because over time, the leather will stretch. Other then trying to get my own leather holster, it's done. Would just need to cut the lower strap on the boots, but im not worried about that for tonight's troop. Would get pics now, but Im by myself, and dont have anyone to take a good one for me lol Will get some tonight though!
