Been a long time coming.
Next up is the oven. in retro spec, I should have painted the oven...
the oven btw, is made from two solid pieces of 1/4 inch steel, bent into ] shapes, and there's a few 1/4 inch thick braces inside. the size is 24" x 24" x 12"
Here's the whole flickr thread:

Nice to see someone else starting ona machine. I recognize some of the design features and those drawings.
So, why did you settle on only making the 24" version? I'm always curious on how others decide which size to make.

I chose 24x24 because when all is said and done, I want two tables... one 24x24 and one 48x96 (for making car body panels, bike parts, etc..)
The plastic sheets come in 48x96 size... so if I wanted to make something small like a trooper chest, I'd be wasting a lot of plastic by doing that on the larger machine. |

Cool. I know how you feel about different sizes. I'm currently working on a 24 x 48 version but bought enough raw materials to assemble multiple sizes.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing your interpretation of the plans.

hehe..
my interpretation should be interesting... as I'm not buying the 600 heating coils they want, I'm going to try to make the oven with nichrome wire instead. |

I'll let you know. The big table is quite a ways away though.
I also want to try a kayak. (two halves plasti-welded together or something, and sealed.)
might not be the most durable, but cheap enough that I wouldn't care if I broke a few |

For the smaller size nichrome should be fine just going to be careful hanging it from the top of the oven.
I have aspirations of putting together a 36" x 48" table also.
