Was just curious for those who have a nichrome oven, what is your power output in WATTS? _________________ Sorry if my english is bad, that's because I'm a french Canadian |

I've got an oven pulling 20 amps on a 120 volt circuit = 2400 watts
This is spread across a 36" x 28" oven base = 1008 square inches
2400 watts / 1008 square inches = 2.38 watts / square inch

i think mine is something like:
2 discrete circuits , each 1200 watts, each going to a separate 15 amp breaker for a 24x24 machine _________________ <.o'> |

My 24x24 machine is about the same, 2400 watts total, from 4 segments. |

At 240 Volts it would pull 10 amps.
Not sure how your power company rates pricing but where I live it would cut the cost in half as power here is read off of the highest leg. _________________ Mattax
