Well.... Umm...
I own two keyboards right now. They are both Yamaha digital keyboards/synths. I'm what you might call a "Yammy-Kid". LOL
At any rate, my style and preferences are reflected off my synths...
One (Yamaha DGX 220) is based off of the 5150 paintjob (Van Halen), and the other one (Yamaha MM6) is based off of the yellow/black "Dimebag" guitar (Also Van Halen...)
Well, here they are:
And what's cool is I can play more than Van Halen songs on these LOL
Ok, now, what's next..... HMMM.........
The MicroKORG. Tiny synthesizer, with a BIG punch. Oh yeah, and a VOCODER (Styx, Daft Punk, others I can't think of...). $300 (NICE!)
The ALESIS ION. Virtual Analog Synth, like the good 'ole vintage stuff. AND a Vocoder. $500-$600 (Oooo... eh, not TOO bad.... )
ROLAND Juno 60. A classic, fat, warm, and vintage synth. EVERYBODY WANTS (and actually has) ONE!! ($500, NICE!!)
Keytar.... OH YES. I'm probably going to make my own out of a MIDI controller, and Vac-Form a body for it... be sure to watch for that topic, because it's COMING! (Total PROJECTED price: $120!! NICE!! )
Ok, now for some of the CRAZY stuff......
Oberheim OB-8. BIG PHAT Vintage synth. Close to the synth Van Halen Used for Jump, 1984, I'll Wait, and others! ($2,500 )
THE Jump Synth. Nuff said. Oh yeah... and Rush used it for their synth stuff (Tom Sawyer, etc.), and so did Prince and Herbie Hancock. ($3,000-$4,000 )
Mini Moog. FIRST Analog ever made. These are just COOL! I think it was used for R2-D2's noises, and it has phatness and booming basses for ya, too. ($3,000 )
Yea.... Some of it's realistic, some of it is NOT......
Oh well.... just another Hobby of mine.... LOL _________________ -Alex
