It is well known that George Lucas 'borrowed' elements from his childhood favorite films and incorporated them into his masterpiece, Star Wars. Did you know that much of the fighter pilot jargon came from a little know 1954 movie, 'The Dam Busters'?
Track down a copy and watch it! you will be surprised. whole lines of dialog made it into the final cut! |

I haven't seen that movie in years! Isn't that the one where they develop that round "ball" that skips across the water to hit the dam? _________________ Tony Krewson

Yes, Tony, that is the film! I caught it on AMC some time ago. I really need to pick up a copy on DVD. |
