I wanted to talk about planing your projects. If you are like me, you have more than one project in the works. Me, I have the following projects on the workbench:
Trooper Helmet Molds
X-wing helmet molds
Viper Pilot helmets [3]
Royal Guard helmet
Endor command helmet
Endor command weapon
Halo hand, forearm, bicep armor
Halo foot, shin, and thigh armor
Rebel Fleet Trooper helmet [24]
Rebel Fleet Trooper vest
Rebel Fleet Trooper shirt
Rebel Fleet Trooper blaster [5]
I'm also working on the final version of the script, storyboards, and set pieces for the fan film.
I also have TOS Star Trek phasers, comms, tricorders, wall comms, desktop views, and I even have some Space:1999 comlocks and stun guns in the not too distant future.
How do I put all these in priority, and still find time to spend with the kids, and the wife? Well, the fan film has driven most of my projects. And I can only spend a few hours a week on any one project. Make a list and stick to it. Mark them off when you are done. I do have deadlines, but to be honest I sometimes fail to meet them.
Take a day off from work [I work 2 jobs] and focus on one project, with a goal to get it completed, or at least progress made. The main focus is to have fun. |
