Greetings all, My name is Al and I reside in Sacramento Ca, Big time Star Wars Fan, Big Time Battlestar Galactica Fan since I was 13 years old (46 now) I made a Vader costume when I was 14, built it around a original Don Post mask. I am an avid R/C aircraft designer and builder and have a few years experience with vacuum forming, resin casting, and many other building techniques. I have always wanted to build a Stormtrooper, Cylon and another Vader costume. I have made several prop blasters over the years unfortunatly I have lost them and have no pics.
(Got married in my 20's and the wife threw them away)
I am glad I found you guy's
I hope you guy's are friendly because I have lot's of questions _________________ By Your Command

Hi Al
Welcome aboard.
You mentioned you got married in your 20's, you didn't say when you got divorced. I only mention it, because you said you wife threw away your prop blasters...so I assume : )
Nice bunch of fellows here.

LOL
Too funny. Yea, you couldn't really rip them back out of the kids hands.
But sounds like they went to a good cause. Besides you can rebuild them bigger, better and faster!!!
Best of luck to you.
If I can help out in any way, give me a shout.

Yea it was pretty tough....I had collected all that stuff when I was a kid I had no idea SW would still be popular (at that time 10 years later)
Original from the 70's The Don Post masks, the 1979 Matell Blasters, Home made replicas I made, 5 boxes of topps trading cards, including many complete sets of the blue series, the red series, and the yellow series, My home made vader costume, Original release Blue print sets of the IV A new hope mos isley sets, death star sets, Starlog mags of the time, it was all in one box and she gave em the whole kit and kaboodle! also all of my original kenner action figures of luke, r2 d2, chewie, and c3po that I got by sending in box tops.
I should have divorced her then!...lol
The kids just wanted to play with the buckets and the guns...lol
I am still crying about it!
But that's why I'm here I guess to re-live my childhood...lol _________________ By Your Command
