I will tell you from some of my experimentation and failures...if making a copying machine like the video...make it heavy and solid. If you go with a bearing design, I think you could easily get within your precision marks.

Will your plastic box have a lid? The transition radius adds a huge amount of stability and strength to the top edge of the a box and will help keep the top from spreading when filled with anything. Even a small amount of radius left on will help reinforce the walls. Just speaking from experience, I've sometimes found I've needed the extra stability it gives.....
