This looks like it could work. It's still a bit on the pricey side though but not too bad.

So far, for my needs, it's the slim line 30 gallon hot water tank from Lowes. I keep hoping I'll find a used one that is stiff good. I know another builder used one on his table, bought it new, and I seem to recall he got it on sale for $175. I'm hoping I can find a used one for half that. A 40 gallon would do in a pinch if it were cheap enough.
