We had some issues with the vac-form machine so its down for repairs, but I did attempt to pull a helmet off of the WWII Navy talker helmet. Two things I learned. The vac-machine does not like molds with voids or canvities. Tends to pop holes in the forming plastic. Also, the texture on the helmet will have to go. Too bad, really, cause this helmet is a really nice example. Oh, well, thats what I got the helmet for in the first place. Time to strip the paint off the helmet, and fill it with rockite.
