Well, I'm pushing hard to get the master molds made for the T-21 Lewis Gun replica blaster. Tony has been kind enough to give me some study time with his favorite toy, so I hope to have the MDF molds done in a few days. here are a few sneek peeks of the project:
Some sanding, and final detail work should be done this weekend. From the MDF master, I can then create a silicone mold, and then cast some durable resin to replicate the blaster, and have some spares for stunt work in the film.
Measurements, were done, and templates in cardboard were made. These were then transferred to wood. Special thicknesses had to be observed so some parts are made from custom laminated basswood.
Stay tuned.[/img]

Here are some more pics of the project:
The parts.
The receiver assembly.
Barrel donut.
Another shot.
Note the ejection port and stock details are still pending. A trigger is optional on this project. |
