Where do I get supplies, tools and materials?

I get asked this questions a lot here is my short list:

Vacuum form plastic: http://www.professionalplastics.com and do a search for HISS or HIPS. Try to order a few sheets, and tell them to cut it to fit your holding frames.

Casting Resin: http://www.artmolds.com Not the fastest on shipping, but usually get here in 10 days or less. Order by the 2 gallon kit!

RTV Silicone: The are several options, some better than others. If you are just starting out, go with the PolyTek Plasil 71-20 available from http://www.bare-metal.com. If your have a gram scale, order your RTV silicone from http://www.smooth-on.com

MDF: I get a 4x8 foot sheet from Lowes or Home Depot. Get the 15/16th or as close to 1 inch thick as you can.

Basswood: I get this from a local hobby store called HobbyLobby.
