I saw that Clone Trooper gun, sadly it's way undersized to troop with. |

I've been waiting for these...
they keep pushing the ship date back.
I think they got nailed with "looking too much like a real gun" somewhere in the south, and some store cancelled orders.
That's what I'll bet is driving the delays and color changes.
Nothing a can of spray paint won't fix.

I have an MR DH-17 and I recently acquired the Hasbro DH-17 at Wal-Mart for $20. For a silly $20 dart-gun I must say that THIS is a "must have" if you are a serious SW weapons collector (like me... I'm addicted, LOL) and/or if you need an economical solution to a DH-17.
The overall scale is ABOUT the same, but it is just a wee-bit shorter than the MR and a tad-bit smaller in barrel diameter, but it is LIGHT and with a minimum of prep-work you could spray paint this puppy to look VERY convincing!
Here are some comparison photos I just took for your viewing pleasure!

Wow, im really surprised how close the hasbro blaster is to the MR. I wish it were like this for the TK blasters.

Thanks Tony for posting those pics. Nice comparison between it and the MR.
Here is my paint job, but the pics are not that great:
My biggest issues is, it is about 1.25 inches short, behind the grip, and the trigger guard is wrong. Both are pretty easy to fix.
Just paint it, and it looks pretty good, but to extend it, and reshape the grip, might impact it's dart shooting abilities.

WOW... the aluminum fluted barrel, and exposed bolt looks FANTASTIC!! What did you use on that, Rub & Buff or aluminum spray paint?
I'm in the process of making a master pattern for the barrel and plan to cold-cast it with aluminum powder in the SC-325 resin... maybe Rub & Buff is the way to go... I dunno, yet. _________________ Tony Krewson

Thanks Tony, that is Krylon semi-flat black, and Krylon Chrome. Since chrome paints never look like real chrome, the brushed aluminum is what you get. As for the ejection ports, thats aluminum duct tape. |

Gotta say, that Im really glad that hasbro put these out. This past weekend, we have been modifying these, 5 total, but all the same way. All that we have done is pretty much the same as Jim's. Cant tell from that angle, but it looks like you did the same D-ring mod that we have done to our's as well.
Its going to be fun to shoot TK's with darts while they helplessly take it.
We've been practicing and they stick pretty well to that ABS armor rofl _________________
