My current kitchen oven, and source of heat for my vac table has a broken element. The bottom one broke ?!?! and the wife would like a new oven.

I was thinking of salvaging the element from the top (broiler) part of the oven for making a free standing, not in the kitchen, vac table setup.

Anything to know, learn about salvaging parts from an oven? My garage is not wired for 220, so I'd have to get that done, but I'd really like to build a table that is slightly bigger than my current setup, and not in the kitchen so I can vac without a huge ordeal of carrying everything up stairs, and taking over the kitchen for a day.
