Not sure what is going on. I too am having issues with the large download. But the 2-parts work fine. No need to buy QTPro unless you just want to. It is not required.
The 'part 1 and part 2' links worked fine. There may be a file cap issue with the single large download.

yeah, nothing works
all i get is sound
oh! by the way, the music sounds awesome!
anyway, i've tried thhe 2 parts, they don't work, yhey download instantly, but i just don't have picture. just sound.
and the 1 part version takes FOREVER to download, i get a short, messed-up burst of music, and then my computer errors out, and the window closes. maybe my computer just sucks. my dad refuses to spend the money to update to the newest quicktime, so i basically have no options.
i've restarted this computer about a million times, and tried the links over an over and over again, and i get the same results, even though i have quicktime version 7 (or the latest and greatest version, whatever)
could you post it on youtube? because my computer doesn't seem to want to download any video from your site anymore!
this is quite frustrating, i don't understand why i don't have a picture... _________________ -Alex

Not sure what is going on. The MOV files will play, they just need some time to buffer. The one big file takes a looooong time.
As for a YouTube upload, there is an issue with that, dealing with the writer/director and the movie's length. I tried to upload it but it's too long, and even split into two segments, it's still too long. Not sure what to do but to have Clint split into three? |

TK-109, can you play other .mov videos on your PC?
Try installing Media Player Classic from SourceForge.net. It uses the same codecs as the "official" programs, but without the overhead.

There is also a codec pack to ensure you can view all kinds of different video formats:

Have you tried downloading the movie from my link?

You don't need to pay $30 for QuickTime Pro. If it won't play with the free version, it's not going to work with the "pay for" version either.
Jim, I've seen videos on YouTube chopped into 10 minute segments, so maybe breaking it up into 3 parts is the way to go.

Thanks for the kind words. I was fun. I now have a blooper reel, and a director's commentary. I'll try to get it posted over the break.
As for the book...
Richard Matheson's I am Legend, regardless of the film versions is a 'must read' right up there with Mark Twain’s The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn, Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick, Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five, etc. Yes, I said it. The book is that good.
I doubt the Will Smith version will be close to the book as it should be. I know the other film versions were not.
The book is short. 160 pages. It leaves the reader wanting more. The ending seems rushed. New Legend attempted to extend the story, and the 'verse for a few more movies yet still maintain the feel of the original story.
Matheson's Robert Neville character is someone we all can relate to, and we end up comparing ourselves to him in a 'what-if-this-happened-to-me' scenario. |
