Does anyone know what kind of plastic they use for car interiors here in the US? Or is anyone familliar with the plastic that Auto Meter uses to make their gauge pods? I need a textured look that would match the interior of a vehicle for a product that I'm making. Anyone know where to get it? I'm pretty sure that it's ABS. _________________ making stuff is cool. |

Textured ABS can be ordered from usplastic.com and professionalplastics.com for $20-$30 for a 48X96 sheet. My car's interior is mostly polypropolyene, the only thing ABS was the bezels. I never thought about making a gauge pod, I think I might give it try. |

Found it.
For anyone else looking for the answer, Yes. Haircell is what you're looking for and is what's used in most car interiors. _________________ making stuff is cool. |
