me too!
these mods look GREAT. i think i've actually worked the backplate to the point where i can get a nice black line between the lower and upper backs!
also, the new chest looks MUCH better, now that the pecks are smaller and MUCH less flat. i also have it thicker at ALL sides.
the calves look nice with more muscle. i have also added the additional strips of plastic on the front and back of the ridges.
i'm still wokring at the thighs. need more bondo.
everything is looking good!!

yay! more support!
bad news. copmuter keeps dying on me, and my camera is fried. will not be able to post pics for a while....
working on molds, and other mods. i painted my belt a canvas color, and installed my holster properly, with rivets. vacuformed new calves, thigh (working on the other), liking the progress.
got to go before my computer dies again... _________________ -Alex

the thighs are done, and now it's a matter of some trimming, and making all the deatils and ends and bits come together. i've worn the whole suit, and i gotta say it looks better. especially the chest!
let's see, thinknig about modding the hands, because like tony said a REALLY long time ago ( ), they look elongated a bit. i got some good pics, and lots of HIPS, so i'm ready for that. in additon, i also might need to re-do the power cell, to make it look more screen-used, as opposed to FX. but i dunno...
i also thought of making ESB/ROTJ hands, too... just for the hell of it...
also, on some other boards the suggestion of modifying the calves further to have more of a curve in the back (as you look at it from the complete side, like a muscle curve) has been made. i'm thinking of looking into this.
so:
1. hands, easy, new sculpt
2. power cell, easy, need measurements
3. ESB/ROTJ hands?? oh, just for fun... probably not
ok. the computer is also fixed, and i gotta find a camera.
will update... when there's an update... _________________ -Alex

Hey Alex,
It looks like you left thumb is getting ENORMOUS, did you smack it with a hammer reworking your molds?
Seriously, lets see some photos of the new stuff! _________________ Tony Krewson

LOL!
that was good, i gotta say.
i posted earlier that i fried my digital camera, when trying to plug it into one of those adjustable AC/DC adapters. i plugged it in, first into the wrong jack on the camera, and it as still running on the batteries. then, i found the correct jack, and it stopped working, and the lens froze in position. i looked, and the adapter was set at 12v, 4 times the needed voltage!
so, it was fried. popped in new batteries and it didn't work....
so... it's going to be a while. sorry....
oh well. you can buy those things for under $150 nowadays.
lol, i was looking at my thumb thinking WHAT? LOL _________________ -Alex

painted the TD... AGAIN. i like it, it's more accurate. also note the rivets on the belt... i did all sorts of mods on this armor, you should be able to see them.
i got a nice idea from another forum to thicken-up my armor. i'm going to try it out tonight... maybe.
anywho, that's my upadate. i hope you enjoy the pics. post any comments, concerns, or ideas that come to mind. i'm fresh out of ideas, and anything i come up with doesn't really motivate me. i'm not exactly as motivated as i was...
enjoy the pics, and please post any comments! _________________ -Alex

thank you sir.
( )
i've modded the left knee plate to be shorter (just looked off to me), and i have also modded the abplate, check it out:
it SHOULD look significantly shorter at the top. i made it THICK, too:
comparison. old at right, new at left. the new is MUCH shorted, and more accurate in shape.
the full piece. BEAUTIFUL... painted the rivets white.
ok, now for the abplate. i haven't installed it yet. i'm going to wait and see what you guys think, and if you like it, then i'll put it in:
OLD on left, NEW on right...
LOVE IT!!!
NICE and thick.
let me know if i can install this or if i should tweak it any further. oce i get the ok, i will install, and paint.
thank you all! _________________ -Alex

i've painted the HIPS glossy, and it now looks like ABS!! i just need to wax it, and it'll look PERFECT.
alos, i have a nearly FEEDBACK-LESS voice set-up with perfect distortion for a project like this. it's from a halloween store, more to come later... _________________ -Alex
