I have 10 movie posters to hang in my newly remodeled home theater but have no frames for them. I am looking into constructing my own frames due to the CRAZY Shocked cost of purchasing them.

I am wondering if anyone might have some insight on what type of clear plastic would be optimal for the frames??

Thanks,
CJ

For my ROTJ poster in my room, I just went to a micheals if I remember correctly, and got a cheap frame with plastic cover. The ends arent attached, but with the backing, the poster sandwich between that and the clear plastic, the frame ends sorta clip on and it works great. Not sure what exactly the type of plastic it is though.

hmm, I may have to check there..that was one place I hadnt looked.

One of the problems that I am having is that alot of places sell the 24x36 poster frames for a good price, but I bought the 27x40 size movie posters. One would think that a few inches added to the size wouldnt double the cost of frame?!?!

Thanks for the info,
Chris

I found a moive poster frame at Mike's. I got two different ones. One was a nice wood one that didn't cost me too much, and the other was a plastic frame.

I would avoide the ones that are just two sheets of plastic with runners you slide over the ends. My runners keep falling out of them anytime someone closes a door.
