Looks like a CGI Star Destroyer is a possibility! John from California, has been secretly working on one, and I must say, the results are great. He is using Cinema 4D V9.1[ http://www.maxon.net/pages/products/c4d/cinema4d_e.html ]to render and animate it.
He did a test run and 200 frames (Less than a 6 second pass which is WAY too fast) took over 4 hours to render.....so, for a nice slow pass, like in the opening of SW, we're probably looking at a render that will take a week or so.
Yikes!
I'll keep you updated with some pics soon. |
