Last month I just replaced my 100 amp breaker box with a 200 amp box w/ new service so I have plenty of power! I'm definitely going w/ 220V (40 amps per breaker is no problem vs 80). Merry Christmas! |

I bought a set of Doug's over/under plans and I'm planning on building the 2' x 3' version, that will also be convertible to a 2' x 2' configuration. I'm going to run mine on a 220-vac circuit, but I'm going to use a 3 conducter wire for the circuit like you would for a clothes dryer so I can have 220-vac (keeps the amperage lower) for the heater elemets, and "on-board" 120-vac for my vac-pump, and two-stage vacuum solenoid control valves.... maybe a built-in TV or stereo system too! (just kidding about that! ) _________________ Tony Krewson

Yeah it is!! I was drooling all over those progress photos of that Proto-Form machine. I'm REALLY starting to get the itch to build mine now!! I just got done installing a Mitsubishi mini-heat pump system in my workshop this weekend, so now I have a year round climate controlled environment to fritter even more of my time away in...
